I’m not generally a fan of wearing an all-black outfit, particularly in the sunny season. (Except for an LBD in some cases, and even then, I like to brighten it up with some accessories.) This time I felt differently though; I’ve passed by this urban street art countless times since it’s just near my home in Vancouver, yet never took one picture with it. It seems the kind of wall art that would inspire you to take some quick, creative shots while passing by, isn’t it?
I felt like an all-black outfit would be appropriate for this urban art background, making it easier to blend in. I opted for high waisted shorts, a piece that I don’t wear that often, since most of the time I am a proponent of dresses and skirts that are more in tune with my feminine side. But I don’t exclude more a “fierce” look, sometimes I just feel like that 😉 The over-the-knee boots give this look a more edgy approach, as well as the double zippers at the front of the shorts – nice touch! 🙂
The shirt gave the whole outfit a more relaxed, urban chic look, and the watch and necklace were perfect to add to the all-black image, as well as to this urban street art feel. I was pleased to see that the photos turned out to have this overall warm colour, and how the sun made my whole complexion look so bright 🙂 The photos were taken at dusk, by the way. I absolutely love the shade of my natural hair colour that the sun gave – no dye needed! 🙂
