With fall and winter approaching, and the colder weather along with it, I’m already yearning for reminders of spring and summer next year. It was perfect timing, then, to receive an invitation to Vancouver Fashion Week and the presentation of the next season’s trends. Although I wasn’t able to attend all the shows, I was happy to snap some photos and discover a few new brands. Here are some of my favorite runway outfits spotted at Vancouver Fashion Week.
Lee Atelier – I loved the simple aesthetics and monochromatic look, as well as the contrasting details.
GH by Germán Hernández – I was impressed by the stunning details and the elegant and luxe looks in this collection – I could totally see myself wearing these types of pieces!
For the first day, I opted for an all black outfit. The jogger pants are still on trend for this season, and the satin fabric makes them appropriate for more of an evening look. I paired them with a silk black shirt, high-heel sandals and a choker (one of my favorite trends!).
Shelley Klassen for Blushing Boutique – Loved the prints and fabrics, as well as the feminine silhouettes.
Lara Ireland – Very interesting and artistic way of using different textures and knits in Lara’s collection.
Nuska – Absolutely stunning couture designs! Gorgeous flowing fabrics and feminine details – every piece looked like a piece of art!
For the second day, I opted for a semi-casual look: A long white shirt with shorts and black over-the-knee boots (I hope the OTK trend is here to stay for a long time, because I can’t get enough of it!).
