I’m unsure if I embrace literal heights or if I’m terrified of them… you see, when I’m high up somewhere, there’s a mix of emotions. On one hand, I’m amazed by the breathtaking view in front of me… but on the other, there is always a uneasy feeling from being up so high. After all, it’s only natural to feel a little uncomfortable!
These photos are taken at the beginning of summer (missing those warm times!), but I thought they were worth sharing now. The sun was setting, so I had the idea to watch from a nearby bridge in a beautiful dress to create some dreamy imagery. No need to say that I’m in love with red, particularly when it’s a red maxi dress, so this long sleeve piece was an obvious choice.
Not only do I like red maxi dresses, but I also adore watching the sunsets! There’s something about a sunset that brings out certain emotions and reflective thoughts. This bridge overlooks the Vancouver harbour, and at this time of day, I chose a gorgeous dress to match the sky’s colours.
This stunning red silk dress is part of my first collection, back in 2013. I’m still in love with it, and even more now that it’s a one-of-a-kind piece! Feminine, yet sensual. Capturing that perfect moment on the bridge at sunset, while gazing out over the water… that, to me, represents reaching new heights and all the emotion involved with it. After all, that’s all life is about, isn’t it?
