Ever since Balmain introduced me to their structured, tuxedo-style pieces, I was hooked. Luckily, this season’s hottest trend (next to the velvet, mesh, and embroidery) left me with a ton of less expensive alternatives for the tuxedo jacket-dress. Yes, I think it can be worn as both a jacket and a dress – double points for that! 😉 Among all the options, I went ahead with Dezzal’s fitted jacket and paired it with their ruffle, high-neck sweater.
I found the jacket to be perfectly form-fitting, as well as the right length for me. I actually wore this piece on a night out as a dress, without anything underneath, and I loved it! The golden buttons add the perfect touch too. For these photos, I went with a street style look and paired the tuxedo jacket with a high-neck frill sweater and OTK boots. The contrast created by the sweater was so stylish and resembled a high-end look.
The sweater is so soft and light, making it a perfect layering piece. Love the extra long sleeves and the frill design. I went with size M, just to make sure I had long enough sleeves, but I could’ve gone with size S as well, like the jacket is. Dezzal’s website makes it easy to choose the right size using recommendations based on your measurements. I find that to be a very helpful tool and they have it on every product page.
When I say it’s affordable style, I really mean it – both these pieces together are under $120! Add that to the free shipping and I think you can score a great deal 😉 They offer free standard shipping on orders over $59, but below that or for express shipping it’s $4.99. I received the order within two weeks, which was fine with me.
If you’ve never heard of Dezzal before, they are a one-stop boutique shopping destination carrying both in-house designs and other carefully selected designer brands. I found so many beautiful styles on their website, like gorgeous lace dresses and silk blouses, and even bags and accessories. I am sold! 🙂
Note: All of these opinions are genuinely mine, but a big thank you to Dezzal for sponsoring this post!
