As we slowly step into spring, I find that there is always a need for refreshing the wardrobe with lighter and brighter colors. And I feel like nothing screams spring more than wearing pastels! The weather is not that warm yet here in Vancouver, but we’ve been blessed with sunny days lately, and that’s a good enough reason to lose those heavy outfit layers. Here’s one way I chose to style pastel colors before the spring arrival – and a way you can do it too!
PS. I found this cute “it’s love, baby” wall while strolling in the city and I thought it was so adorable! After all, spring is also a season of love! 😉
If you’re like me and love girly and feminine details, you’re most likely into pastels as well! For a soft, yet bold look, pair a few different pastel colors together. If extra non-pastel pieces are needed to complete your outfit, go for white or black to keep everything neutral. I went for a white sweater and black OTK boots (as I’m still waiting for those warmer days to take out my pretty shoes and sandals).
Apart from trench coats, which are a staple for transitioning into spring, I find bomber jackets to be the next best (stylish) thing! I absolutely love the one I’m wearing, as it’s a satin bomber, which makes it even more feminine! Additionally, the quilted sleeves are such a beautiful detail… doesn’t it go well with the front lace-up pattern of the skirt?
My favorite piece from this outfit has to be the faux suede lace-up skirt. I fell in love with it and its stunning details, and it looks way more expensive than it actually is! And to top it all off, the faux leather crossbody bag is a winner! Simple, yet so practical, I found this little bag to be able to carry most of my necessities.
How do you like to style pastel colors as you transition into spring?
