Now that spring is here, I’m all about going outside and enjoying the sunny weather. I honestly get so excited when I see the first buds on the trees and know that the most beautiful part is yet to come… the cherry blossoms! While in the winter I prefer the indoors, I love spending a lot of time outdoors when spring arrives (I’m not a fan of cold weather at all, as you could probably guess). During those cold months, I often struggle to find inspiration and motivation to keep me going; I am, after all, a sunshine girl at heart! 🙂
A few days ago, I decided to go out for a walk to unwind and just relax, as the weather was so nice and sunny. I wanted to go near the beach, as that’s my most calming place, but I encountered a very nice surprise just a couple of blocks away from home: cherry blossoms. I had no idea they were there, and I assumed they must have blossomed over the last couple days. As you can see, the inspiration was just around the corner, literally! 🙂
The blossoms called for a flowy maxi dress with – you guessed it – a floral print! 🙂 I love this beautiful piece from Kimchi Blue that I bought a while ago at Urban Outfitters, and this was my first time wearing it. It’s feminine and can be dressed up or down. The details are so pretty and romantic too, like the buttons half-way down, the partly open back, and the frill at the top.
Some days you may find yourself lacking inspiration or just the energy to do your everyday tasks. The first thing to do is to go outside! Nature is so refreshing to the mind and soul. If you have a favorite spot, go there and observe the things that surround you; or just take a walk in your neighborhood and take notice of everything. Sometimes you might discover things that you didn’t see before. I find that’s the best way to help your mind find the everyday inspiration you need.
Of course, there are other ways to find that inspiration, like reading or simply talking to your best friend. Whatever works for you. My favorite way remains the nature, especially the ocean; that’s soothing for my soul! And sometimes I happen to find a gorgeous shell – that’s such a beautiful surprise, much like the cherry blossoms I found around the corner from home! I promise, you can find inspiration everywhere… you just have to look around you!
How do you find your everyday inspiration?
