As you might’ve seen in my previous post, my first trip to Las Vegas was filled with amazing experiences that exceeded my expectations of what this city is about. My idea of an all party-and-gambling-only place was shattered; I fell in love with everything there and now look forward to returning and exploring more. The stay was short and filled with activities (if you need ideas, you might find this post helpful on how to make the most of five days in Vegas), but part of the experience there was staying at the Encore at Wynn hotel.
Encore is part of the Wynn resort and the buildings are next to each other. The architectural design is simple and stunning, giving a sense of luxury. The interior decor matched the expectations too – I loved their attention to detail! We were greeted by very friendly desk staff, and in a matter of minutes, we were discovering the suite for our stay on the 51st floor.
The place was nothing short of spectacular! Everything was as luxe as you can imagine. And can we talk about that gorgeous view? There was even a TV in the bathroom, which I thought was a nice touch 🙂 Also, there were snacks and a full refrigerator, but beware; both are time sensitive, and if you touch anything for more than 30 seconds, you’ll be automatically charged. Oh, and everything in that room (different lights and their settings, curtains, etc.) is controlled by a touchscreen remote next to the bed… How is that for convenience? 😉
The resort is huge and has different pool options available; staying at the Encore we were able to access both its pools and the ones at Wynn. Inside the resort, you can also find luxury stores, cafes, plenty of restaurants and of course, a few nightclubs. We tried some of the restaurants at Encore (Jardin, Sinatra and The Buffet) and I was very impressed with the culinary experience I had! My favorite was Jardin for the lounge atmosphere and the dim lights, as well as their dishes (as I mentioned before, if you get there, give their truffle pizza a try!). Oh, and I must mention, their cocktails are so good too!

There’s no lack of entertainment while there, that’s for sure! Besides the clubs (we only tried XS on the first night there, which was an amazing experience!), there are different shows offered throughout the resort. Because our time was short, we only got to watch a bit of a water and lights show while sipping a cocktail on the terrace outside, but I know they offer other (and bigger) performances as well.

The interior of both Encore and Wynn is gorgeous! Encore seems to have this butterfly-themed decor, which at first I thought was a bit cheesy, but then I started to really like it. The more I saw it, the more I fell in love with it! I mean, how pretty are these butterfly mosaic floors? The rest of the resort’s interior was stunning and I wish I would’ve captured everything! I’ll just have to let the few photos I took speak for themselves 🙂
Our mornings were spent in the lobby cafe, having coffee and catching up on work. That cafe was so lovely and, as with other lounges in the resort, they’d give you free snacks as you sit at the table. And by free snacks, I mean these gourmet cashews and chips that were simply delicious. We were using the cafe mainly because it was the best spot for wi-fi access. If there’s something I didn’t like about this place was the lack of free internet in the room. If you are to use it in the room, I believe it was $25/day per device. Hmm… that would’ve been an extra $50 per day for us, and definitely wasn’t worth it. But at least we had the cafe downstairs.
At night, there was a magical view from our room. All those Vegas lights seen from above looked surreal!
If you’re considering a trip to Vegas and still deciding on a place to stay, I recommend trying Encore. I was impressed with the level of luxury and experiences offered by the whole resort. I hope you found this review helpful and if you have questions about this place, please let me know – I’d be happy to answer them! 🙂
