While trying to decide on a beach destination a few months ago, I discovered the beautiful island of Mallorca in Spain. I fell in love with it just by seeing some pictures online… I guess you can say it was love at first sight! 🙂 The next step was deciding which hotel we’d like to experience, and we both agreed that we wanted something on the beach. And since I am a “sunset chaser”, we knew it had to be on the side of the island where this would be visible. Some say Palma de Mallorca has the most beautiful sunsets, and so I had to fully experience it 🙂 We decided to give Iberostar Playa de Palma hotel a try. Here are my finds.
We were welcomed by an extremely friendly staff, along with champagne and fresh fruit snacks at the reception – what a nice surprise after a tiring trip! Shortly after, when we arrived in the room, I discovered this gorgeous view, as well as a mini champagne bottle as a welcoming treat. It really felt spoiling 🙂 The room was big and modern, and it felt cozy… or at least that was my impression.
Hotel & Amenities
The hotel, despite being close to the beach, didn’t have its own. We still had to pay each day for the chairs and umbrella, and it wasn’t always easy to find them available if we’d wake up later. Maybe that’s one minus, but it was made up for by having plenty of other amazing things to offer. I sometimes relaxed at the pool if the beach was too full, but most days, I enjoyed the view that I’m most in love with: the beautiful sea.
The lobby was so nice and I swear it smelled so good in there! There were amenities such as a gym, spa, hot tub, sauna, etc., and those were also fun to explore. Not to mention the indoor pool and other amenities we had access to at the other Iberostar hotel across the street!
There were two restaurants: one a-la-carte and one buffet. We had the all-inclusive plan, so we didn’t have a chance to try the other restaurant. The buffet was incredible though! It felt high-end with so much flavour and freshness – and you can see it in the presentation in every dish. Also, the waiters there were always so nice and always available for us! It was very good service; above our expectations!
This was a fun part of the trip! If we weren’t at beach/pool or exploring the island, there were activities every evening in the hotel. Live music was one of them, but there were also different themed events every evening. We went to a sunset party on the rooftop of the hotel, and that was such an amazing time! There was a DJ and live saxophone music and already filled champagne glasses with gold flakes (talk about luxe!). It seemed like a great place to socialize and watch this gorgeous sunset from above!
After the trip was over, I swear I almost wanted to book another one to this beautiful island right away. I loved everything I experienced there, and the stay at Iberostar made it so much more enjoyable! If you’re looking for a place to relax and also indulge, this might be the right one for you!
Til next time, sunshines! ☀️️ xo
